Dr. Gwendolyn Wong is proud to lead a clinic built on personalized care, professional excellence, and strong community roots. With a deep passion for optometry and over a decade of hands-on experience, she envisioned Haven as a welcoming space where patients feel heard, respected, and truly cared for. Dr. Wong is committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate eye care for individuals and families in Port Coquitlam—offering both the latest in clinical expertise and the warmth of a community-focused practice.

Dr. Wong grew up in Coquitlam and is thrilled to now serve the very community that shaped her. She completed her Bachelor of Science at Simon Fraser University before earning her Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University in Oregon. While completing her optometry degree, she also pursued a Master of Education in Visual Function in Learning, giving her unique insight into how vision impacts cognitive development and learning—particularly in children.

Since graduating in 2012, Dr. Wong has practiced full-scope optometry throughout the Lower Mainland. Her areas of clinical interest include pediatric eye care, binocular vision dysfunction, and visual development. She takes pride in making each patient feel comfortable, informed, and empowered in their eye health—especially younger patients and those with complex vision needs.

Dr. Wong is fluent in English and has conversational proficiency in Mandarin, allowing her to connect with a wide range of patients. As she embarks on this exciting new chapter with Haven Optometry, she looks forward to building long-term relationships rooted in trust, quality care, and a genuine commitment to her patients’ well-being.
